I was slacker than ever in 2012 for keeping this blog updated, but here nonetheless is my annual obligation: the top 50 tracks that I discovered and enjoyed, even if I failed to blog about them.   As usual, a few of these will have been available before 2012 to those with their ears to the ground and their fingers on the pulse.  The last time I attempted that, I grazed one cheek and both arms quite badly.
